LionDesk Shut Down: What Happened and the Best LionDesk Alternatives (2026)

Short answer: LionDesk no longer exists as a product. Lone Wolf Technologies shut it down at the end of September 2025 and moved users to its newer CRM, Lone Wolf Relationships. If Relationships doesn't fit, the closest budget replacements are Wise Agent ($49/mo), The Librarian ($49.99/mo) and Agentype ($79/mo). Follow Up Boss (from $69/user/mo) is the step up for agents with steady online leads.

What happened to LionDesk

Lone Wolf Technologies, which bought LionDesk in 2021, told customers in spring 2025 that it was winding the CRM down. The app stayed available through September 2025 so users could move their data. Lone Wolf's CEO told Inman that LionDesk's technology couldn't scale to fit the company's newer Foundation suite.

The official replacement is Lone Wolf Relationships, a simpler contact-management CRM with AI email drafting, automated workflows, templates, and 1:1 or bulk texting in a shared inbox. Its product page offers a free trial but lists no dollar prices. When the shutdown was announced, Lone Wolf said pricing would be on par with LionDesk, which started at about $25/month on some plans.

What carried over if you migrated

According to Lone Wolf's migration guide, the move to Relationships included:

  • Valid contacts (those with a first name plus a phone number or email), with tags, source and custom fields.
  • Activities from the past year, converted into notes.
  • Tasks due within the next year.
  • Email templates used in campaigns during the previous 60 days.
  • Your mailing address and signature.

Anything outside those rules didn't come across, including contacts missing a name or contact method, older activity, and older templates. Spot-check your top 50 clients and your drip campaigns before relying on the new system.

How to choose in 10 minutes

1) Check what your brokerage already pays for. Many brokerages provide BoldTrail (kvCORE), Lofty or Rechat, and a free CRM you'll actually use beats a paid one you won't. 2) List the LionDesk features you used every week. For most agents that's drip emails, texting, video messages, reminders and a pipeline. Make sure the new CRM covers each one. 3) Match your lead flow. Mostly sphere and referrals? A $49–$79 CRM is plenty. Paying for Zillow or other online leads? Lead routing and speed-to-lead tools like Follow Up Boss start to pay for themselves. 4) Run a trial with real data. Import your contacts and send a real follow-up before your trial ends.

Moving your contacts safely

Export everything to CSV first, including contacts, tags and notes, and keep a dated copy offline. Import a small batch to test field mapping before loading the whole database. Bring over texting consent records too: if you text leads from a new system, TCPA consent rules still apply (see our AI calls and texts guide). Rebuild your top two or three drip campaigns first rather than all of them; it's a good moment to cut ones that never got replies.
