DocuSign for Real Estate Agents: Which Plan Do You Need? (2026 Prices)

Short answer: Most solo agents who are NAR members should pick the DocuSign for REALTORS® plan: $20/user/mo billed annually ($240/yr), with unlimited envelopes (subject to a reasonable-use policy), association forms, strikethrough and transaction workspaces. Not a REALTOR®? The Real Estate plan is $25/user/mo ($300/yr) for 100 envelopes per user per year. Real Estate Starter ($10/mo, $120/yr) covers only 5 envelopes a month. Before you pay, check whether your brokerage already provides DocuSign, dotloop or SkySlope, and note that dotloop has a free account for up to 10 transactions.

How many envelopes do you actually need?

An envelope is one send for signature, no matter how many documents or signers are in it. Once it's sent, it counts against your allowance even if nobody signs. A single deal can use several: listing agreement, buyer agreement, offer, counteroffers, addenda and amendments.

  • Starter (5 a month, about 60 a year) fits a part-time agent doing a handful of deals a year.
  • Real Estate (100 a year) fits roughly 8–15 deals a year, depending on how many counters and addenda you send.
  • REALTORS® (unlimited) removes the counting, and it costs less than the Real Estate plan. If you're an NAR member, it's the obvious pick.

DocuSign's general plans cost more for agents: Personal is $11/mo with 5 envelopes a month and no association forms; Standard is $30/user/mo and Business Pro $45/user/mo (both annual, 100 envelopes per user per year).

Where AI fits

DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) plans add AI-assisted search and analysis of signed agreements, but they're aimed at larger organizations and priced by quote. For a solo agent, the practical AI step is using an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT to turn a signed contract into a deadline checklist or a plain-English summary for your client, using only documents your brokerage lets you share. Always check dates and terms against the contract itself, and send legal questions to your broker or an attorney. Our client data safety guide covers what not to paste, and AI for transaction management covers the wider toolset.

Which plan to choose

  1. Your brokerage provides e-sign or transaction software: use that first.
  2. You're an NAR member doing more than a few deals a year: DocuSign for REALTORS® at $20/user/mo, billed annually.
  3. Not an NAR member: Real Estate at $25/user/mo for 100 envelopes a year, or Starter at $10/mo if you send fewer than 5 a month.
  4. You want checklists and transaction tracking, not just signatures: try dotloop's free account (up to 10 transactions).
  5. You run a brokerage: compare SkySlope, dotloop Business+, DocuSign Rooms for Real Estate and BoldTrail BackOffice. More options are on our DocuSign alternatives page and the transaction tools list.

How much is DocuSign for real estate agents?

On annual billing: Real Estate Starter is $10/mo ($120/yr) for 5 envelopes a month, Real Estate is $25/user/mo ($300/yr) for 100 envelopes per user per year, and the NAR-member REALTORS® plan is $20/user/mo ($240/yr) with unlimited envelopes subject to reasonable use. Prices checked October 29, 2026.

Does DocuSign have a discount for REALTORS®?

Yes. DocuSign for REALTORS® is exclusive to NAR members and is shown at $20/user/mo instead of $25, billed annually. It's the only DocuSign real estate plan with unlimited envelopes (subject to a reasonable-use policy).

Do my clients need a DocuSign account to sign?

No. Recipients can review and sign from the email link without an account.

What counts as an envelope?

One send for signature. It can hold several documents and signers, and it counts against your allowance once sent, even if it isn't signed.

Is dotloop cheaper than DocuSign?

dotloop has a free account for up to 10 transactions, so it can cost nothing for a part-time agent. Its Premium plan ($34.99/mo or $344/yr) costs more than DocuSign's real estate plans but adds transaction management.
